The ending of Hannibal destroyed me.

Not because of the fall, no, that was just a bonus.

I’ve been in a love and hate relationship with this series, Loving it at first then I started to hate it towards the middle and it took me forcing myself to watch the 3rd season through the god awful first episodes to finally reach acceptance.

That’s when I realized the genius of it, it made me go through the exact same thing Will did.

Lara Jean Chorostecki’s Freddie Lounds in Hannibal.

I love her innocent act, and I love it when Hannibal picks up on it straight away (my beautiful brilliant cannibal).

I love Freddie’s flustered acquiescence. It’s one of the few times Freddie is genuinely disconcerted.

And I love how Hannibal moves effortlessly from cordial person-suit mode to calmly menacing (and looks incredibly sexy doing it).

Okay I have a headcanon.

When Hannibal is making sausage in Sorbet:

I remember watching this and thinking it was weird that he was just grinding the organs directly into the casings. Where’s the fennel? The sage? The pepper and salt and maybe rosemary??

But I have decided that these are the organs he’s decided not to use for his party, for whatever reason, so he is making this sausage…

…for Will’s dogs.

And he doesn’t want it to be too spicy for them.
