I’m still grieving Hannibal, and began this soon after the finale. There’s a powerful water motif that appears throughout every season, and each of these characters have, at some point, been literally or figuratively drowned– in blood or in Stygian darkness. Thus: the souls that were swept up in Hannibal’s wake, inspired by Klimt’s Water Serpents II.
I decided to record part of what I was working on this morning…a harp cover of “Love Crime” as heard in the Hannibal season 3 finale. I’m unfortunately not very good at art, so I wanted to attempt a fan tribute the only way I could.
removed the background music, all that’s left is the talking and breathing
I love how Hannibal seems to almost stop breathing when Will enters his embrace. It’s as if Will’s willingness to touch him literally takes his breath away.
HE DOES STOP BREATHING WHEN WILL PUTS HIS HEAD ON HIS SHOULDER. MY HEART. WILL GRAHAM LITERALLY TAKING HANNIBAL’S BREATH AWAY IS CANON.
WILL IS THE ONLY THAT COULD EVER DO SUCH A FUCKING THING.
